Getting your kids to eat their veggies can be a task all in it own! We asked our Facebook fans how they get their little ones to eat their veggies and they shared some great advice! Here are some of the responses below:
Candace Cornell: “I feed them veggies from the time they can eat solid foods. Even if its something they are not interested in, I always offer a little on their plates. After time, they begin to eat it and actually like it. (Of course, I don’t force them to eat it.)”
Erin Williams: “I don’t have a problem (yet) with my 13 mo old, but I tell my 3 year old daughter that they are princess vegetables. Her favorite princess is rapunzel and we tell her that it makes her hair grow long and strong like hers. Works *almost* every time. I’ve even caught her reaching at the bottom of her hair while eating green beans to see if it’s growing. Lol”
Valerie Comfort-Ruger: “My 5 yr old son – I never had an issue with, he’s always loved veggies and hates candy and sweets, guess I got lucky.”
Susie Jacobs: “Every meal has a protein, fruit or vegetable, and a starch. It’s just the way it is, and my kids expect it now. If it’s part of everyday normal life, it’s not such a hassle (but it has taken years and perseverance to get to where we are!).
Once, my oldest had eggs and toast for breakfast, and she asked for broccoli because she needed her vegetable to round off her plate.”
