Packing the Perfect Diaper Bag

    A diaper bag filled with all the right things can really save a mother’s day.  What do you really need in there? It depends on the age of your child, and how long you’ll be out.  Please fill free to comment below and add some of your items you always have in your child’s diaper bag.

    The Essentials

    • Diapers

    One for each hour you’ll be out.

    • Wipes

    Wipes are perfect for diaper changes, and also for sticky hands.

    • Hand Sanitizer

    For cleaning the mother’s hands after diaper changes when there’s no time to wash them.

    • Blanket

    It’s always good to have an extra one on hand.

    • Bottles of formula or expressed breast milk if you’re bottle-feeding.
    • Important numbers, extra money, and keys.
    • Change of clothes

    The Extras

    • Changing pad
    • Cream
    • Plastic or biodegradable bags

    For storing soiled diapers, clothes, and baby blankets.

    • Snacks

    Baby food and a spoon, or finger foods.

    • Pacifiers

    Store these in a clean bag along with bottle nipples to keep everything sanitary.

    • Tissues

    Necessities for Mom

    If you’re not carrying a separate purse, make sure to pack your essentials, too! These may include:

    • Wallet
    • Keys
    • Cellphone
    • Sunglasses
    • Pen and paper

    For all of you busy mothers out there make sure your diaper bag has multiple compartments to keep everything organized. Also, don’t forget to try your diaper bag on and make sure its comfortable to carry around.
